Travelex Currency Happy Hour provides Award-winning value!

Foreign currency specialist, Travelex, has been awarded for the Best Travel Campaign for its Currency Happy Hours at the new media age awards this week.

Travelex edged out Europcar, Richardsons and Further to take the award, which was judged by a panel of industry experts.

After researching and talking to its customer base, Travelex developed the campaign to incentivise existing and new customers to purchase their currency online during a one hour ‘Happy Hour’ and take advantage of a special rate.

The first Happy Hour was run in the lead up to Christmas supported by email and paid search and, after proving hugely popular, was again run to coincide with Valentine’s Day. As a result, the happy hour is now a regular feature on
