Must-sees in Poland

  • Kraków
  • The second-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland, Kraków was listed as a UNESCO City of Literature in 2013. It was also a city affected by WWII, with the concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau and its Holocaust memorial located just outside the city centre.
  • Częstochowa
  • Located in the southern part of the country along the Warta River, Częstochowa is a popular destination for travellers with a penchant for cities with a Middle Ages appeal. The Black Madonna of Częstochowa at Jasna Góra Monastery is an especially popular attraction.
  • Baltic Coastline
  • Perhaps slightly less renowned, the northern coastline of Poland comprises several hundred miles of sandy beaches and plenty of places to see and things to do. The cobbled streets in the town of Gdańsk offer an alternative to the more traditional and larger Polish cities.

A deep dive on Polish zloty
